The places of the heart
The main farmhouse of the estate was built in the early 1800s and is surrounded by expanses of olive groves and vineyards, fruit trees and centuries-old oaks. The structure of the manor house recalls the farmhouses of the Roman countryside and the nearby Agro Pontino. On the ground floor there is the old oil mill, where the original stone mill is still preserved today, and the orciaio, or the area where the oil was kept in large terracotta jars. Reinforced concrete vats were built in the 1950s for winemaking, still perfectly preserved and intact as a historical memory. To date all the spaces are used, maintaining the agricultural vocation of these places. Outside there are the lemon house, a large garden overlooking the sea, the old tool sheds, the grain silos and an old cowshed where animals were once sheltered and dairy products were produced.
